Hm, I hadn't given it much thought assuming we were going to find out more later. lol Maybe there is something mystical going on with the packs every year that draw in the Consumed? Like a certain moon alignment. Maybe each pack gathers mystical energy with certain planet/moon/interstellar alignments and the Consumed enter their territory to try and steal the energy. Or something. lol
