As Smudge stands his ground (and the crowd runs), he sees the owner of the eyes lunge forward and pin the Zerda, revealing themself to be an imposing black-and-silver Bracchus, sharp antlers and gleaming hooves making it clear that this was no ordinary wolf.
But, as the fighting goes on, it is clear it is just for show, and once every other wolf is gone, the Bracchus steps away... and then his eyes fall on Smudge's.
"... Libra, I believed you said every wolf was supposed to run once I appeared?" Now that he's not fighting, it's clear that he wears... a fluorescent amulet? Well, that was one way to bring a Consumed thing back...
The Zerda, now finally named as Libra, pushes herself up- with no injuries whatsoever. "They were supposed to..."
"Well, congratulations, traveller."
Libra takes over. "Now, if you could please... possibly... leave, soon? And don't tell anyone about this! I only have Great Spirit of Life privileges for today, and I already have this plan prepared, and I do not want it to be ruined again!"
(And yes, you can have her! Although she was meant to be one of my breeders for the Darkspine Giveaway, that's pretty much over now and I think that by the time the event rolls around for 2026 I'll be able to get another)
