Ingredients and where to find them EASILY AND CONSISTANTLY

So i started not so long ago and have constantly needed to go down a rabbit hole, just to find a specific ingredient to get every recipe both simple and complex, god forbid i want some salt on my pretzel, and will now put putting all of that knowledge here for everybody, but mostly myself so i know where to look, this will be updated as i find new easy ways to get different ingredients.

All fish: as far as I'm aware all fish are found in the fishing profession minigame and how to get them is simply dependent on level as some fish are specific to specific areas you unlock, so simply grinding up those levels is probably the best bet for anybody else who wants easy food

Milk: milk has given me so much grief, so i will simply say this, for anybody else who wants to get all the recipes, do not wait for the mole to bless you, just grind up the cooking skill to 20 so that you can unlock goldsea's finding ingredient event that can happen in the camp area, in the mean time simply do other recipes, as far as I'm aware no enemy drops milk before then and the only other way to get milk is the mole market (i have not had this happen to me once since starting) or maybe a other player who is feeling generous and selling it on the flea market (i have also not seen this happen either but it might one day)

Meat: mind you this simply applies to all meat that has basically the same cooked result besides bug meat which is just a different color, and fatty meat which makes bacon, unlike fish there are a few areas to get meat consistently, bug meat can be reaaally easily gotten from the enemies in darkspires "the neck" area, i think it also drops from other enemies but less commonly, most mammal enemies drop meat too, some reptile and amphibious ones too, and lastly is hunting and a fair few different hunts give both normal raw meat and fatty meat, and honestly hunting is a much easier way to get fatty meat, at least for me that is.

It's not a constant, except for the Here There Be Monsters quest, but the Murkwood camp has a Moorbear encounter, and will give you honey what I'm pretty sure is half the time. When you're on the Here There Be Monsters quest, you'll be guaranteed honey every encounter until you've finished it. And by finished, I mean you've collected at least 10 honey cups for the quest.

For additional information, here is a link to a guide with the Cooking Camp's available ingredients to purchase.

And in this post, I've collected what items drop from every companion in the Campaign, some are food which could help!

while i would like to include the ingredients you can find in the story quests, as far as I'm aware you cent repeat the story quests, so i will be focusing on things you can get after completing the campaigns because that's where i myself have spent most of my time, but i will be including moorbears later because they do still drop a LOT of ingredients.

black/razzberries: both of these berries when found will often come with the other and can most commonly be found in the campaign, if i remember correctly i think all factions have at least one event somewhere where you can find these, all you have to do is when you get a follow the scent prompt, you first go right, then go left, and you will be given one of both berries.

small bugs: while isopods are found in all factions campaign at least once, moths are only found in the most difficult areas of murkwood and darkspire if I'm remembering it correctly.

eggs: eggs are like meat, where it has a lot of drops from different creatures, but just to a lesser scale, moorbears in murkwood drop them fairly easily, and i think both reptile and bird enemies drop them but i will need to make sure of that as i dont remember it being as common as one might think for literal egg laying animals, and they are also fairly common in hunting to the same degree as meat in my experience.

In hare encounters, I've been testing different lengths of waiting time before clicking the chase button after you creep up on it, cuz the story quest for the darkspine party also relies on clicking speed. If you wait a little less than a second before clicking on the chase button, more often times than not you catch it.
