Hello, I'm new here!

Well hello there!

I go by "awd" (pronounced as "odd").

I am still learning how this game works and would love any tips or insights.

I've figured out how to get two dogs, and have managed to breed them and produce three pups.

How do I get additional dogs? (Can I buy/capture/adopt another one, or do I need to use an outside stud?)
What is your favorite way to play this game?
What is your personal goal for the game?

Hello and welcome! Here are a couple of good game guides to get you started.

To get wolves, you can either buy them in the Flea Market or get them free from players. You can view the forums and see lots of peeps giving them away. Some of mine will be ready to nest soon, so I should have some ready in a few days ^^ You can also get them when campaigning and get a random wild wolf or a knucklebone. Collect 50 knucklebones to trade them in for a wild wolf when you go hunting.

Lately ive been coming on here to breed wolves to get the achievement. Achievements are great because you get rewards like moonstones and pebbles. You can buy custom apparel among other things mainly with ms. Collect moonstone (ms) shards and craft 10 to get one ms. They add up. Here’s an Achievement link:

i look forward to the 4 different quarterly seasonal events where you get rare apparel and companions. Here’s the past Goldsea Event link: https://www.lorwolf.com/Forum/View?id=14898 where you can view past items. Most will be available again when the event comes back around. Add companions to your wolves so they’re stronger when your wolves battle. The best part is when you play with them, they give you prizes and pebbles.

Hello and welcome to LW!! Others have already given you some good advice about expanding your pack, so I'll target the other questions:

My favorite way to play this game is with a focus on the forums, hahaha. The community is small but we keep ourselves busy. lalierre runs a community calendar with a list of player-run events for each month. We sure do love Christmastime! When Achievements were released, I LOOOOVED them and started the Achievement Hunters Guild for players who want to pursue them.

As for my personal goal of the game: I have kept every wild wolf I've ever caught from Campaign! My ultimate goal is to dress them all. I've gotten about 75 of my WWs dressed out of the 170ish I've caught so far. You can take a peek at those dens (one and two) if you're interested at the fashion available on LW.

Welcome to lw!

My only bit of advice that hasn't been mentioned yet is that you can (and should!) do the quests for each pack in the campaign. The dialogue makes it sound like you'll be switching packs, but it's just flavor text, it doesn't actually do anything. The only way to actually switch packs is through your account settings.

My favorite ways to play are trying to breed pretty wolves, and currently I'm grinding away at some of the harder achievements. I also run a free food thread! Stamina can run out quickly in the early game, since you don't necessarily have enough wolves to swap them out for a fresh one, so feel free to comment on it or message me if you need some food :)
