A Meet-And-Greet for My Spirits!

So! The Spirits are one of my more interesting groups in my lore, one of the many ones that aren't aligned with Lorwolf canon... and I want to expand on their personalities a bit!

What better way to do that than host a meet-and-greet... Or, more accurately, a Q&A! I'll share all of the Spirits I have, a few tidbits of their lore and general Spirit lore, and then you can ask questions of any of them- or me!

Let's start with the general Spirit lore, though, you're gonna get very confused otherwise.

General Spirit Lore

Spirits are manifestations of natural things, and the belief in those things. Much in the same way that there were five Spiritwolves, there were five Great Spirits in turn: Seas, Storms, Light, Darkness, and the eldest, Life. Life, much in the same way as Korvo, was consumed by Chaos, and the other Great Spirits had to imprison him, scattering to the four winds afterwards.

Each minor Spirit is aligned with one of the Great Spirits, including Life, in much the same way that there are Packs, although the Life-aligned Spirits are often mistrusted due to the actions of the Great Spirit of Life.

Spirits can also have children with mortal wolves (and you'll see a couple of those up here), but the pups are usually mortal with some sort of affinity for magic, ranging from just a sense of the weird to magical talent on par with their parents'. They can cast off being mortal, but it is said to hurt like nothing else in this world, and it is not always quite willingly...

The Great Spirits

Nietzsche:

The Consumed Great Spirit of Life. Despite this, he is still somewhat honorable and will let those he encounters go free if they do not stand in his way.

Tenebrae:

The Great Spirit of Darkness, and the closest friend to Nietzsche before he was Consumed. They disappeared completely off the map afterwards.

Lux:

The Great Spirit of Light, a curious soul who will interview anyone and everything in pursuit of knowledge. Retreated to her tower at the end of the Great Spirits' time.

Castaway:

The Great Spirit of Seas, calm on some days and stormy on others. Hid for fear of being Consumed next, on an island far away.

Kuiper:

The Great Spirit of Storms, and all such natural disasters. Raged a Seven Days' Storm against Nietzsche before turning her wrath towards regular wolves once the other Great Spirits scattered. Has mellowed out in recent years.

Important Minor Spirits

Lotus:

The Life-aligned Spirit of Spring- water and rain are some of his primary powers, as he placed his plant-growing powers with the Spirit of Summer.

Arabesque:

The Life-aligned Spirit of Summer. A companion to deer and other wildlife, amongst his powers of fire, heat and growing plants (the latter of which belonged to the Spirit of Spring originally).

Collie:

The Life-aligned Spirit of Autumn. By far the most mysterious of the Season Spirits, with powers revolving around the arts.

Winterlight:

The Life-aligned Spirit of Winter. The most uncaring of the Season Spirits, a lover of turning malicious wolves into ice using their ice-and-water powers and using them to decorate their garden.

Helio:

The Light-aligned Spirit of the Sun. To stand in his mere presence is to start to burn.

Luni:

The Darkness-aligned Spirit of the Moon. Distant and cold- quite literally, as everything she approaches begins to freeze.

Other Spirits

Chandra:

A Light-aligned Spirit of nothing in particular. Serves as a mediator between Light- and Darkness-aligned Spirits, from the Light side of things.

Dusk:

A Darkness-aligned Spirit of nothing in particular. Serves as a mediator between Light- and Darkness-aligned Spirits, from the Darkness side of things.

Loreley:

A Seas-aligned Spirit of the drowned. A clever wolf who used to be a mortal child of the Great Spirit of Seas before she cast off her mortality. Nowadays she runs the Pirates of the Raging Seas with her allies- one mortal, and another Spirit.

Tempest:

A Storms-aligned Spirit of turbulent winds and choking clouds. Runs the Pirates of the Raging Sea with their allies- one mortal, and another spirit. Rather abrasive.

Libra:

A Spirit of reflections.
Explore for too long in too odd of a place, a place warped and destroyed and desolate and sad, a place of mirrors, and it reflects back onto you and it shatters, like glass, what makes you mortal.

Surely there can be wonders, too!"
