@Dakkokki I had my suspicions about the staff page honestly, because the FAQ is in dire need of updating as well. I wonder if it's even possible to volunteer to help at this point... & do not worry about the ramble, I can see you're frustrated and I know you're not alone in that. A lot of older site users seem to feel similarly and yeah, it definitely isn't without reason.

Well, whatever comes of Lorwolf, as long as the site is being hosted, I personally believe the community is what makes it fun, from my short experience here. I've never known a time of regular updates and staff communication so it's easy for me to be like "this seems fine!" haha - and like Damocles mentioned, I come from Arillio, which was literally 2-3 players keeping the site going for years on end, so this place is relatively lively...

I hope you get what you are seeking from this thread, genuinely - or at bare minimum a place to vent your frustrations and be heard by those who can empathize.

I'd love to know if the site is still going to be updated. The lack of a seasonal update makes me feel like the game is dead. No communication about the change/lack of items really really hurt my outlook on the future of the game. We haven't had an actual update in a very long time. If the game is being put in maintenance mode, I want to know so I can set my expectations. The not knowing makes me more hesitant than if I knew that the game wouldn't be updated, but would still stay up with CA approvals continuing.

I love Lorwolf's gameplay loop. Even with no content updates, this game is still my favorite petsite. Seeing it slowly die has made me so sad. I would cheer if Chapter 2 ever came out, I just wish I had hope that it would.

Why do you keep suggesting we’re trying to hide the state of the site or lie about the devs? And please stop hiding behind concern for new players as an excuse for constant passive and sometimes active aggression towards our genuine takes about the site. New players are in here telling you they get it and are sticking around anyway. Old players are in here telling you they get it and are sticking around anyway. There are also new and old players who don’t like it and left.

I would love communication, but I know it isn't gonna happen. I've long since given up on the site. It's funny, I genuinely believe posts like this just affirm to Alaunis to never speak to us again, because since we're not ALL quiet and graciously accepting the nothing we're being given, therefore nobody deserves updates (this is SARCASM in case my tone didn't come across well enough).

I'm glad other people can enjoy it for what it is now. Good for you! If you enjoy the game, don't bother pinging me to tell me how much you like it, because that won't make me spontaneously decide "you know what? actually this is all okay!" Actually probably just stop reading because you won't like the rest of my post LOL.

I played when updates were happening, so to me going from having updates to literally nothing is a bit sad. Sad as in "it makes me feel emotionally sad" not sad as in "pathetic" so don't twist my words.

Call it selfish, but this was the first site I actually felt like an important user on- I made CA, people DM'd me for buying wolves bc I had a reputation for buying palis, I helped run the secret santa user event we did one year, and had a lot of fun talking with people in the discord. So I really wanted this site to succeed, because on every other petsite I'm a total nobody. I was too late to FR to get anything worth noting, too late to PCE to get cats with good IDs, too late to pawborough to get the luna stones- but I wasn't too late for lorwolf. And now it's this. I foolishly keep my LW kickstarter stuff and decent wolves (like my triple) because for some reason I still have hope this game won't be like this forever, and honestly that stuff will likely die with my account before I sell it off.
