You haven't missed much! There are still, as far as we know, plans for chapter 2 content and the Guilds and fancy things that have been on the back burner since the get-go, but we don't actually "get" to hear about any progress on them or how it's going-- or if it's still going. The 6 month silence is looking downright chatty nowadays.
What we do know (per a rather dramatic but brief event where someone messaged them on KS since they stopped talking to the playerbase. Which, to be clear, still probably should not have happened, especially the way it did, but I am still completely not surprised that it got to that.) is that the site hasn't been solvent (able to pay for its own costs) for a long time. So this site is probably, at best, a hobby they have going on in the BG? Some other details in the message from A alluded to her possibly considering the site "feature complete", which left a lot of people confused about whether we can actually expect any more work to be done on the place or if it will just be here until it suddenly isn't one day, but alas, I have no special answers either.
She made a very short message in the announcements forum about it back when it happened, but only to say "don't expect it to change any time soon".
The head mod quit, and was not replaced: so we also have nobody in the community that's actually in charge of anything or can send messages back and forth between the brick wall.
Players are trying their best to fill the gaps with cute forum games and feverish CA releases, but of course they can only do so much.
This Jan. marked our first time where a pack event didn't get a brief "happy holiday have an apparel set & a familiar and their recolors. goodbye" message, and the rewards where those would have appeared in the "pebble path" we got moonstones, which hey, at least it wasn't just blank, moonstones are useful. We aren't sure if that was an emergency placeholder put in way back when the site launched as an in-case measure, or if A or JJ had to specially set it up before the holiday and just didn't say anything to the playerbase about it.
I'm sure there's more I've missed, including some time you were gone where we did get a little new content, but I'll leave it for others to point you in the right direction there.
