They can't be sold or released, but there are some ways to change them. Besprinklers will randomly change all of a wolf's colors (it's really random though, so you might end up getting lucky or get worse colors than you started with), eye besprinklers will change just the wolf's eye colors (still completely random), and sometimes switching their patterns around can make a wolf look better. Those can all be found in the mole market. It's not perfect, but it's an option!
