@Skittyfairy Mel and their snapper companion venture off to the swamp to give their den mate a rest. Mel has trouble swimming in the swamp, but by clinging on to their companion, they are able to make it to the rest of the hunters. It appears the monster is growing weary as it is spending less time submerged and more time fighting off the hunters. Seeing that it is distracted, Mel is able to deliver a powerful blow!

The swamp slows them down considerably, but they eventually make it. The consumed monster appears to be in a frenzy as it is lashing out at everything and everyone. Amaryllis's Furlog Deer charges in and drives it back into a tree. Amaryllis follows up with a heavy strike before the two of them are thrown back by the monster's fell strength.

Cork's powerful body has trouble maneuvering through the swamp, but he is strong enough to power through mire. When he arrives, the incensed, consumed monster immediately rushes him. His companion leaps in the way and easily shrugs off the blow due to its tough hide. Taking advantage of his companion's fortitude Cork takes his time to ready himself for a pounce. Seeing an opportune moment to strike, he lunges and crushes the consumed monster.

Seer has trouble navigating the mire, but Icicle pulls them onto her back, and the two are able to meet up with the other hunters. The consumed monster is enraged, but its strength is fading fast. Seer leaps off Icicle to strike the monster but is overwhelmed by the creature's ferocity. Icicle jumps in and beats back the monster, giving space for Seer to tend to their wounds.

This aberration rushes directly towards the consumed monster and pounces! Its numerous limbs maul the creature, and quickly following that attack, a Ruffed Macauco jumps in with a solid thwack!

Unfortunately, they are slowed down considerably due to the Urskogg being out of their element here in the swamp. But they arrived before the fight ended. The consumed monster rushed the two of them, and the Urskoggs' tough hide provided much-needed cover for Banshee to deliver a critical blow. The monster seems to be on their last legs.
