Ah well-- I prefer a business to be run like one, and pet sites being highly collaborative between devs and users is one of the hallmarks of the job. Even (and especially) for the truly old ones, I'm sure I have a Wajas account older than most of the users of this site. Alas.
Ehhh, could have fooled me, the forums haven't seemed very dead, even when there was a sub-100 daily user count! Not much variety being posted aside from community events hosted by people trying desperately to keep the place alive, I will give you freely. For what it's worth, that was probably a good thing for the organizers of those games to do regardless, because the site was sure not doing a thing to keep itself alive. I certainly have seen you around enough during that time, lol. :D
You're welcome to disagree with any and all of that, utilize your free will to its fullest! Having read that assessment, though, I don't feel moved on the matter. Feedback and community engagement is extremely important if you think the site has at all any future chance of growing. Thinking it just won't & dismissing that offhand is what seems pessimistic to me. Updates being 2 months apart, if anything, seems to be something that should encourage rigorous feedback and active monitoring and communication between devs and the userbase so that patches and tweaks can continue happening in a timely manner. :/
I don't want to clog up this nice user's thread with a tangential topic, so I don't have an interest in continuing this here. You can feel free to DM me at any time if you want to continue the convo, or just let it lie / get your final word in.
