I know how to sell via the flea market, but is there a quick-sell/release option if we just want to remove a wolf from our den and don’t want to wait to sell it?
Yep! On the wolf’s profile, there’s a pencil that lets you rename a wolf, and right of it is a tree that you can click to release a wolf after a confirmation prompt. There’s even an achievement linked to doing it!
Higher level wolves yield more rewards, with level 10 wolves giving you a Knucklebone Token that you can use to get wild wolves!
Oh, and you can’t release your starter wolves.

From there, you can have a chance of getting a Wild Wolf quest in Hunting. They're pretty common, really- sometimes the quest refresh temporarily removes the quest, but reroll them or just send your wolves on other quests and they'll show up again.
You can also get KB from wild wolf campaign encounters- as well as a small chance of getting a WW outright (they're everywhere except the pack dens, but have a 5% or so chance of being recruited). The KB are sort-of... a pity mechanic, that's the best way to say it.
