I feel the need to suggest this, communicating would go a very long way with the community, the launch happened very quietly, we don't have recent changelogs, there wasn't a 30 minute pre-launch discord ping like there was with EA to hype up launch, it's been weirdly silent apart from the moderators passing on information. (Thank you mods!)

Reasons weren't given anywhere easy to access for the sudden change from Pebbles to Moonstones for expansions. Much anticipated features like the Wild Wolf Token haven't even been implemented for this occasion.

We haven't even gotten a post-launch welcome message, and this doesn't feel right- it feels like the launch is being treated as a non-event. I suggest this because even if development has been significantly delayed, I think we deserve some transparency. This game has so much potential, and I love it- I want to stay! I want to support it! Please don't lose the community by leaving us in the dark. If people don't know what to expect, or the site itself doesn't seem to appreciate our support, they're not very likely to stick around.

I absolutely support this. There wasn't any welcome message or any of the sort, or anything like that which is odd being, well, the launch of the site.

I would love to hear something from creators. It is a big step to launch, everyone is hype, everyone want to see game. We want to celebrate together. A message and pings would be enough but why not start with some festival, some small gifts I don't know. It would be nice touch. Community feels. Now we are kinda of our own boat.

I literally only remembered the launch was Saturday because I was doing something on another petsite and saw my Lorwolf bookmark, despite following the tumblr and twitter.

It certainly does feel kind of lackluster. Though I'm having fun, the site just feels like Early Access Test 2 with how little changed or how unhyped this launch is.

i completely agree. although the community has been super helpful and excited and all, i do feel like the site itself is lacking an overall celebration of the launch. its a big thing! be proud! we're all proud! its a great game!

on a very related note, which goes beyond just launch and is more just about new members in general, is that when i joined, the first thing i noticed was a lack of any sort of welcome, guidance, tutorial, etc. when I feel like we're used to having at least a tiny bit of “heres how to get started" on sites like this. i was a bit confused and it took me a while to figure out how to do everything, why to do everything, the value/cost/balance/i dont quite know the word, just. how things Work… and i still feel like i'm figuring out the very basics on my own. even with the little help panels for each profession/etc. i'm still left feeling a bit lost. but! i am overall really enjoying my time here so far! i just think this is an area that very much needs improvement.

I agree with the sentiment that this feels like a second early access in many ways, since the game seems to be lacking the polish I expected in terms of a welcome. Tutorials must be sought out and clicked on. There is no ‘Do you want a tutorial to guide you?’ pop-up after creating your wolf (as far as I can recall)

I am surprised that the front page still says “We hope to see you soon!"

And that you have to scroll past Merch, the Discord section, the Demo and the Social media links before you reach the Launch FAQ. Which is not a FAQ for players starting the game after launch, not an update post. It's the FAQ that was put up before Launch. As far as I'm aware, we haven't been addressed yet since Launch. It just seems strange.

Brand new players may have no clue what's going on, and many subforums still have out of date pinned posts from the Early Access.

All that being said, I've been enjoying the game immensely! But I'm excited to hear more! I'm curious about what's next! More than anything, I'd just like to hear about what has changed since Beta.

I 100% agree, I had to tell my friend that the game just came out because they were under the impression this was an older game. Please please please to any staff members reading this, consider a celebration for your game! We all like celebrations and if I'm honest, it's what gets people to join :)

I see there are some updates and notes planned, which is great! But I would like to emphasize that communication is really important, especially in the early days, and radio silence for 2 days after release is really concerning. I would like to see a bigger focus on communication going forward.

I am glad I'm not the only one thinking this. As it is, I've got a bad taste in my mouth. No welcome. No changelog. No status update. We weren't even pinged for the one news-y post there has been. Just a banner at the top. And the blatant moonstone grab for expansions has really got me unnerved. I am cautiously optimistic about hearing something after this maintenance tonight, but I'm really unsure after how little info we got during Early Access as well.

I mostly came here to suggest a change log and a backlog of some sort to be communicated, because I honestly have to say I see very few improvements compared to EA, and I want to know which changes are still in the works, before I start (re)writing my suggestions.. But you hit the nail right on the head. The fact that the time of the launch wasn't even announced until 6 or 7 days prior to launch is.. unnerving to say the least. Or rather the countdown. I think it took a couple more days before the countdown (and the time of launch) was even deemed worthy of an announcement post. So many games have lost hosts of (potential) players due to lack of communications, and I've already heard loads of displeasure regarding the last stretch of development on places like discord. Please just communicate with us. When we know what's going one, we can be understanding. But when we're left in the dark, all we're gonna feel is frustration.
