[Arena] Make the bots less OP

First of all, I really like the multiplayer mechanic of a PVP arena. And the fact, that empty spots will be filled with bots.

However, there is the big issue I have. Filling empty spots with bots so every person trying to play the Arena is nice, but after playing a few Arena matches I see one problem:

The bots are way too OP.

I'm not suggesting to turn the bots into opponents you can snip away with no power, but please make them a little weaker. No matter how, I always ended up with bots in the match that are so strong that they one-shot my team, even with it being fully leveled up, and even after using a guide. This takes a lot of fun out of the game and gets far too fast very frustrating.

They really are OP and combined with the RNG you sometimes get it's like, I'm gonna put this in another tab until I'm knocked out of this game, and try again later.

I would Very much like to poke this up and unhide it.

I know there's always a degree of RNG? But it seems the bots are too inclined to make them.

Hmm, I’m not sure I actually support this idea… I’ve always found the bots tend to be easier than actual players lol, as there always seem to be 3 types of bots: the super easy bots who tend to be knocked out quickly, the medium bots that put up a little more challenge but can be defeated if you know the op strategy, and the hard bots that tend to mimic more human like plays.

Its to the point for me where I prefer all bot matches cause I know unless the RNG gods despise me, I can easily get top 3. I think a lot of people at the start struggle with the arena because it’s game mechanics can be a bit confusing and it can be hard to figure out what the best strategy is. But I don’t want it to necessarily be easier because it is supposed to be a bit challenging.

i cannot support this, i believe the bots in area are simply too easy to beat once you understand the mechanics of the game. the hurdle for arena seems to be understanding it, and understanding what the best strategies are: i think having competent bots to subtly teach this is not a bad idea. a lot of arena is about your team composition and flow, there are certain synergies that are more effective than others.

while i do believe that sometimes they stack stars too quickly and easily, that can be out down as a suggestion for arena itself to have less of a painful rng factor of which companions you choose for your team.

I also don't support this. I have found the bots to not be particularly challenging. In fact, I just won an arena match against the bots and the other matches I played the bots have been about as challenging as players.

I've never found the bots to be too difficult unless I was already having a hard time in Arena. I also don't think the bots are the problem here — it'd be the fact they exist, not their difficulty. Game sizes should be made smaller or the queue should be left open for longer so more human players can join. With more human players means less bot, providing some bit of challenge but not too much if you find yourself getting defeated by bots often.

I actually find the battles against people a lot less hard than the ones against the bots, even understanding the mechanics. People will try to adjust, but bots won't, and they tend to roll better than people will.

Rather than getting rid of the bots, maybe change their rolls to follow the same odds players get would make more sense. Because there are definitely times the rng absolutely hates people.

I've personally never really had any trouble against bots in the arena when I'm paying attention, and never noticed them getting particularly better rolls than I do, though to be fair I tend to not go looking at what they do. I've played enough Arena to get somewhere in the realm of over 200 tickets, and while I suppose that might be part of why I don't see this as an issue, I think it also proves that there is a point where you'll “get it.” I have and would assume that bots are given the same odds as players, but it would be nice to get a confirmation on that.

All in all though, I would love to either jump into the arena with some of you or see screenshots of bot teams that you'd consider too OP to really see the other perspective! ^^

The bots often end up with higher star models than you early on but their team comps don't make sense. If you are only against bots you can nearly always come in first by going on a loss streak and saving paws until you can refresh a bunch of times to build up an effective team. If they were much easier it would take the fun out of the decision making :(
