Support!

In my personal opinion, the other moonstone sinks are perfectly acceptable. CATs and the merle and stripes genes are very desirable on their own and Lorwolf risks stunting it's growth in those areas by locking the professions behind paywalls. Players are likely to get frustrated and quit, especially with mining which requires 5 slots per ingot made. People with 15 slots will likely only get two ingots per 50 food and so it will take them way longer than their fellow players to level up, make money or craft items. Another result of having 15 slots is that you'll have a disadvantage in getting tickets for the mining shop. All the moonstone price is doing is punishing players who can't pay rather than rewarding players who can.

full support for everything that's been said here. upgrades requiring moonstones feels slow and discouraging, and pebbles need more use.

As someone who regularly buys and uses many moonstones - support.

For some reason, spending 50+ ms on a crafting expansion just doesn't feel worth it. It's less accessible as well. Generally, would love to see moonstones kept out of the gameplay loop and largely just used for cosmetics (special genes + companions, custom apparel, etc.).

Support for exactly the reason stated by the user above me.

Major major support. Having all expansions be moonstones makes the game very pay to win. Those willing to sink enough real money into the game are able to get massively ahead in every regard, and could dominate just about any market they wanted to. It's not fair to punish other players for not having the ability to spend that much. Premium currency expansions should be restricted to things like apparel or other cosmetics that don't impact your ability to gather resources and make currency.

High support.
Progression shouldn't be locked behind premium currency. I don't see how it would be useful to them rather than just annoying for players when custom apparel is a thing. It's an endless supply of getting people to purchase moonstones without them even needing to do any of the work themselves. They can't get that greedy at the very start of game's release and expect a ton of money to come in right away. They need to take their time to expand their game.

When the premium currency becomes the main currency of the game it becomes pay to win, pay to play even. There's been so many forum posts about this already. I am hoping for some kind of acknowledgement from the devs of this issue sooner rather than later.

Full support. Expansions should very much be a pebble sink. As it is, pebbles are going to be very worthless very soon, and having most expansions be a premium currency just is a bad look in general. Genes and breed changes are fine moonstone sinks for now, but with how hard they are to get outside of paying real life money, I fear people are gonna burn out on LW very quickly if they're forced to spend their moonstones on expansions that they, in essence, need. It's fine to have some expansions be moonstone only (I think apparel slots is a good one!) but most gameplay expansions? From an outside perspective, it just seems like a way to force people to pay to win.

you have my absolute full support on this. it's very discouraging when most things seem to be locked behind moonstones and not everyone has methods to obtain them or can afford to buy them.
