My progen gave birth to her second litter today and while the little devils were cute as expected, I must say I was a bit disappointed that it was another two pup litter just like her previous one. And thus, I come here to offer a suggestion: give players some way to control the minimum litter size.

Pros: People will probably enjoy being able to better control their litters, I will not get upsetti
Cons: Inevitable uptick on wolves generated, flooding the site.

There is also the question of how a player would go about doing this. My initial idea would be through some sort of item that could be “applied” to a wolf and would guarantee a minimum number of pups in their next litter. It would probably be easier to implement if the number is predetermined (user will always get at least X pups) but maybe it would be nice if it could be “customized” (user can choose whatever number, even guaranteeing a single pup litter).

This could work nicely as a specialty item worth a good number of Moonstones, I think. However, I understand that it could be percieved as “pay to win” or disadvantageous to F2P users. Alternatively, instead of a purchasable item, I could see it being obtained via crafting (or make it a food instead and have to cook it up?) but designing a recipe and potentially implementing new items for the recipe could be a bit much. I do like it though.

Eh, I feel like randomizing litter sizes is important to control how many wolves are entering the site. Everyone would be vying for four pup litters no question about it. However, it would be cool to see how many you are getting before they are born. I wouldn't have qualms with that being a MS item. Like purchasing an ultra sound spell or something. Lol

Hard hard hard pass on a MS item that would guarantee you a four pup nest. No way that's not causing tension in the player base and towards the devs.

An ultrasound type feature I think would be nice! But I would personally be heavily against that being MS. I think it would better suited as a pebble sink.

And yes I do think a four pup guarantee would be more detrimental in the long run. Hypothetically I would be okay with it if it was a super rare and limited item, but it would be too messy to implement, probably.

I… Dont support being able to control the size of the litter, I'm sorry. Some other alternatives I'd love to see would be maybe an ultrasound feature like VNX mentioned above. Having some way to see how many pups are in the litter would be nice, but thats probably a discussion for a different thread.

No support. Getting a high-pup litter is a nice fun surprise.
