As for getting your own, food can come from a lot of different places around the site (like a reward for Hunts or throughout the Campaign) but the main sources are Fishing and Farming (in the Play dropdown list, under Professions) and in the Mole Market (Shops dropdown). Any food can be fed to your wolves raw, but you can also cook things to increase the amount of stamina they give your wolves. You can find a list of recipes here sorted by cooking level (you can still cook things that are higher level, there's just a risk of the food burning and becoming ash instead of a tasty meal)!
