As the title says. When you mine, you don't seem to get exp for ore mined, just ore smelted. If we change it so we're getting exp for ore mined, on top of ore smelted, I think it would seem less punishing to drop an ore here or there, and might lessen the strain of having limited spots initially.

full support. i'm miles behind in mining compared to my other professions because if i DON'T take a bunch of time to discard lesser ores, all my wheels will break from the infinite back-and-forth before i manage to collect enough ore to make new ones. it's pretty annoying to have to babysit the mining page and dump copper as it comes in, but at least i'm not wasting all my silver on making wheels.

I also agree and support this. I understand not letting it give xp since ppl could just drop ore all day and get xp without smelting anything. But I think it could work like you don't actually get any of the xp until you take it to go smelt it.

I think having a flat one exp per dropped ore would still encourage people to go smelt things. You would get more exp for smelting ore after all. Not enough to truly make dropping ore a way to level up, but enough where it doesn't feel bad if you do need to drop a few ore.

I have this included in my big professions rebalance suggestion myself, so ofcourse I support this. It also makes sense that you get xp from the actual mining activity for the mining profession
