teller signup form ??? i think it's good? idk i'll find out in practice i guess lol

market stall:

get CA pricing from brunette

implement CA section

update food inventory

review food section to ensure it's properly organized

* see if there's any other sections i'm ready to open atm (i dont think so, since ive been dragging my feet trying to claw my way through setup i've gotten a little confused lol)

both:

look through messages

process donations/update inventories

coordinate volunteers

but oh yes, it's happening, i am regulating this market by FORCE

pre-emptive heads up that moonstone sellers are not allowed to use the exchange, because that would be profiting off the exchange, which is very much against our rules <3

also gonna toss up a thread for the market stall where you can buy things for ms and all proceeds will go to the exchange's funds bc i am One Person and Not A Very Rich One Either lol

there will be a teeny tiny miniscule profit accrued by the market in pebbles (selling ms for 100 pebbles higher than buying ms) but that will go directly to exchange funds cross my heart

I dont have a lot of MS right now, but I'm willing to partake. I havent been listing them on the FM because I'm worried that the buyers are gonna be the same people that are selling them for like 35k pebbles or whatever it is at this point. I don't know what you are going to have exchange rates be, but as long as it is 1:20k or BELOW (id prefer 1:15 or 1:17 even) I am in!

And yeah that was my worry too! I did try and list some a while ago but it did nothing and then I realized the powerhouses might just be sniping and relisting them and realized I needed to change my approach, hence this thread so that sales are handled manually and we can ensure that they’re not going to known sellers that are just looking to turn a profit off the exchange! Currently I’m planning on starting at 1:20k just to see if it can hold its ground enough to make a difference and then I’m ABSOLUTELY going to start dropping it, ideally I’d love to get it down to 1:10k someday minimum since that would match with FR prices (since buying ms w/ irl money in the official store has 1ms worth what 10g are) and that’s a pretty stable market

I’m not an excessively rich player since I honestly don’t grind much but with the amount of interest I’m already getting I’m honestly starting to feel pretty hopeful, so long as we can get some people selling ms back to the market instead of relying entirely on Market Stall proceeds I think it’ll honestly work 🥹❤️🙏

Knowing people are donating def makes me feel optimistic about this. Really smart approach too, imo. I adore LW but witnessing the economy stutter and then break seemingly overnight was about to push me out entirely.

I'm technically on a hiatus, so i dont have a lot NOW, but I'll donate some of what I do have. I'm sitting on a ton of food so when i get around to selling it, I'll send another donation thru.

LW isn't active enough for this thread to get buried or anything, so as long as people are interested, and it looks like they are, i think you may just be able to hit that 1:10 goal... Which would be awesome for literally everybody. Simple numbers make my brain very happy

Forgot to comment on this earlier, but one thing that could help is requesting donations of moonstone shards as well because some people might be willing to part with a shard or two which if enough people do that would add up quickly.

I'm commenting here because I think I understand what your aim is and am curious about what your perspective is on something. I am also very frustrated with the market and how certain people have forced the value of moonstones to skyrocket. For a time early on it was stabilized around 1MS:20K pebbles or 1 shard:2000 pebbles. I suspect the trading between LW currency and FR currency has been a part of what caused an imbalance. Some people are farming MS only to get FR gems and aren't really playing LW.

Anyway, I'm new to this kind of platform play so I'm not overly familiar with how the currency becomes stabilized in a game like LW or FR. But I was wondering if the LW team placed a limit on how many listings a person could make of the same item and same amount of item at a time would help stabilize things.

Because what I noticed is that people are flooding the market. Example: people selling pebbles for MS will put up 10 to 20 listings and no one else listing for the same amount can be seen on the first page. You end up scrolling through several pages of the same person listing the same thing for the same price and no room is left for anyone else. They are forced to create a listing for more pebbles and getting less MS in return just to get their listing seen in the first place.

While your idea is an admirable effort to stabilize things, it does put a weighty responsibility on you and is dependent on a lot of external support. I'm wondering if a suggestion to the LW team to limit the number of duplicate listings to something like 5 would maybe do the same thing?

sorry i was sick 😭 slowly working on getting everything edited up! honestly once i get everything set up it'll be a breeze it's the setup that's killing me lol

you are SO good lol, i've been very quiet both on-site and in discord lately so i would not blame anyone for thinking i wandered off into the ether xD

there's just a lot of little pieces to get arranged properly to be sure everything's ready to go and i'm having to take itty bitty nibbles at it to not get completely overwhelmed and confused so it's taking me a while lol, so many moving parts and a not-the-best-at-organization lynx lol
