@Hecenna - Oh boy. It's. . . A lot. A couple years of stuff packed into a short explanation spanning the site, Discord, Kickstarter, etc.
Uhm. . . To make it very brief, people have very active and vocal in pointing out bugs (that have gone unfixed or unaddressed for years and affect gameplay), issues with site features, coding issues, art errors, grammar inconsistencies, providing feedback and suggestions to improve others features for QoL, etc. And it's largely been ignored. The site roadmap showcasing upcoming features and fixes was abandoned early on, which is where the concern kind of began, I think.
The staff rarely if ever respond to anything, no clue if they read everything. People were much more understanding and patient in the beginning when hype and morale was still high, but it's fizzling out the longer we go with no major improvements or acknowledgement. The head community mod stepped down after the site owner announced that the silence was intentional and would not be changing (and soon made a post in the forums after her KS comment caused many people to become upset and cancel subscriptions or abandon and liquidate their accounts saying she was still here to possibly avoid the site hemorrhaging support since it doesn't make enough to break even).
Some of the biggest, most profitable Custom Apparel artists have left the site due to poor management, delays, and lack of communication or support, which was a big blow to the CA Shop's--and site's--income.
People are still upset about the official Discord closing (due to some decisions and reasonings I probably can't repeat here in case it jeopardizes my account or otherwise lands me in hot water), but the staff said they wanted to prioritize the forums. We have not seen any extra communication in the forums.

There's probably a lot more I'm leaving off, but basically people have been wanting to see the site succeed and excel, but the player base continues to feel ignored and let down by silence and certain decisions. The patience and understanding from the player base waned a lot when it felt like they were being made the reason that the site was being managed the way it was and things have kind of been rocky ever since.
I know a lot of us have been trying to tell ourselves that the staff are probably very busy IRL and have their own lives, especially since this site is no longer A's and her partner's main job anymore like it had been around launch. Others have offered to work for them for free or for pay, have volunteered, have applied, inquired, etc. and been met with silence or declined offers.
I would love for this site to last a long time and succeed! I love the idea and I love my wolves. Pursuing all the achievements and obtaining all the retired stuff has been my main focus for well over a year now. I play everyday, and even I have been growing more disconcerted over the site's trajectory.
The anniversary being ignored after we were promised the old items returning for it was the tipping point for more people recently. At this point, I would be okay if we didn't even get new stuff or just got a recolor of last year's companion, but not getting anything when it would be very quick and easy to plug in existing assets and code into the Mole Market's code is . . . A lot to process.
