Writing Wolvesday #2 [OPEN]

Inspired by Flight Rising's Lore Whining Days, sometimes it takes a little extra push to get some words down on paper. The purpose of Writing Wolvesday is to help encourage us all to try and get just a few more keystrokes in on whatever it is we are supposed to be working on, whether that be a wolf's profile, a roleplay we are a part of, or a story. We will be gathering every Wednesday to lament the difficulties of sitting down and actually stringing words together and / or seizing the sudden inspiration that strikes us fancy.

Everyone is free to participate in Writing Wolvesday! Even if you don't want to post your writing, come chat with us about the woes of the written word.

Oh man, I will say that the ping in the first post did not hit me! But I am happy to be back for Writing Wolvesday. Perhaps I will do some more for Jelly's Logbook... the team has to get back together again before seasonal. 😂

I have so many ideas! And I can't pick! Which one!! I WANT TO DO!!

Polaris lore or Kuiper lore or Arcturus lore or the (yet-unnamed) winter spirit lore?!

Plus I need to focus on my fanfic that I really want to write, and I need to get it done by Halloween since that's the release date for the first part source material and I want to post the first chapter by then!

Ooo that does sound like a dilemma, so many ideas, too little time... It sounds like the fanfic is the one that you sort of have a deadline for, do you have an outline sorted out? Then you can take a break from it by writing lore for one of your wolves instead! ( • ̀ω•́ )✧

I do have somewhat of an outline, although that's mostly because the fanfic's a novelization (I want to try dipping my toes in first- the fandom I'm writing for only has one (1!!) fanfic I've been able to find) with some extra stuff, some for spice/to rationalize stuff some for Foreshadowing (such as when a sequel character will appear). As such, we following the source material.

just need to. replay. the source material.

and stop playing the sequel.

I have been slowly making my den wolves morally grey and right now I need to wrestle will how to get Jelly --> home --> conversed but not perplexed enough to run --> back out into the world for seasonal campaigning. I'm almost tempted to have her upper brass ghost her. 😂 An emergency? Maybe I will go that direction...

Sounds like you've got a good jumping off point Mysti! I've found that once the mood strikes, I am off to the races, typing away! I don't know if the effect is the same for you, but once I'm on that hamster wheel, I am going!

And yay, so excited to get these adventurers on the path to whatever Chaos or chaos they encounter.

@spoot For some reason my vision is like those sci-fi horror stories where there is a distress signal that motivates our hardy protagonist to go home, only to discover something is desperately wrong, then they need to go back out to fix it! So maybe a message from the brass, then gasp! Some tragedy / miscommunication strikes, and she has to race off into the wild to discover the root cause!

Ok I have things I have written- there’s some lore put down for Overcast Azurity, and I started on some for Llewyn de Vernimières!

I might rewrite some as most of it was written during my 5th period class and I was half working half writing… but whatever!
