A quiet light colored wolf pads into the clearing and looks around, spotting Kaya and the stockings. After visibly contemplating on which stocking she wanted, she settled for the Murkwood stocking, then quickly snatched the Icerun stocking before quickly turning around to head back to her den where she had her choice dyes. In her haste, she accidently swept a stocking from each of the other piles off with her tail. Her piplin picked them up, then scampered toward her. Just before the trees swallowed her, you can see her retrieve the stockings and thanking her piplin, making you wonder whether or not that was planned.

(It was not planned. She was just too unused to social interaction to even consider putting it back and just took it.)
