The last dredges of chill have been chased away by the heat of the summer. Creatures big and small are enjoying the longer days, lazing about in beams of warm light or huddling under the shade of trees to relish in a stray breeze.

However, all of this comes with a cost.

Perhaps pulled forth by the sudden resurgence in activity, the Consumed begin their trek down from the Western Barrens, emerging seemingly from the great empty expanse and the twisted rocks that dot the landscape itself.

The call of the Consumed is met with the howls of wolves from all across Loria, who venture forth to Goldsea in search of many things; glory, riches, or perhaps just a fight. Some wolves bring with them a thirst for vengeance against the Consumed, others a sense of duty that they must push back the creatures of the dark. There are as many reasons for a wolf to venture forth into these lads to stare true darkness in its face as there are furs on their hide. And some of these reasons may be as dark as the inky creatures they are charging forth against...

The fight against the Consumed is hard every season as their numbers never seem to dwindle, only swell. To stand alongside your fellow wolf is to trust that they will have your best interests at heart and that you are fighting the same enemy.

"Thus," the wolf standing before you says, quill hovering next to a long strand of parchment, "we are asking all who journeyed here to Goldsea what their purpose is. I presume you are here to journey with us to the Western Barrens to fight the Consumed, but you know what they say about assumptions!"

Overview

• This event will run until July 1st, when Goldsea begins!
• Each day, a new prompt will be posted at rollover that you will need to answer. There may also be a task associated with the prompt, so be sure to read carefully.
• Each initial answer to the prompt / completion of a task will earn you one entry into the Goldsea raffle. This means you can have a total of four entries by the end of this event.
• If you join late, that's okay! Feel free to answer the previous prompts you may have missed.
• I will draw names on July 1st! The first place winner will pick which of the three prizes they want, then the second place, and the third place will obtain the last item!

He puffs his chest out a bit as he declares, "Our prowess against the Consumed is second to none! Now, what is it that you said was your cause to be here today?"

"What? Goldsea, of all places?" Chocolate wailed, racing towards the place of gathering, Brulee following its master with the sweet-maker's lantern used for melting sugar clamped in his jaws and attracting the attention of other Lorians with the sweet smell still wafting from it. "That's where I get most of my ingredients!" The other head of the Glintfire Orthrus growls an agreement.

Say hello to Lom Speaker. He doesn't actually do that much speaking but he loves to play fetch! Almost a little too much. He wasn't around for the 1st Anniversary of Lorwolf, but his phoenix buddy, Firefox, was! Oh they do like a bit of nonsensical naming, don't they?

Kira is greeting everyone! She is a kind and wise leader of a small peaceful pack located in the forests of Darkspine, where wolves of all colors and backgrounds have found their home. She and her mate Totoro have many children who are now exploring Loria. Only one child, Kate, decided to stay near her parents and to found her own pack, also known as "puppy pack", where young wolves are learning, playing and bonding with each other and their companions.

When Kira were young, she also explored Loria and befriended a Lunar Spotted Gecko and a Tawny Rodill on her way. These two have been following Kira during her adventures and now are helping her in searching food for the pack.

Although wolves from Kira's pack are friendly and peaceful and have even managed to befriend a couple of consumed creatures, they are ready to join the fight to help the Goldsea wolves to protect their home.
