The journey to Zanthous was a difficult one, with many breaks needed to seek out what little shade the plateaus offer out in Goldsea. Many wolves seem to be in a rather poor mood from the height, grumbling and snipping at one another as they try to seek shelter from the blistering sun.
One wolf, however, seems to be the sun itself, glittering even without its rays and making it quite difficult to look at him. His shining pelt glittered even through the night, and many a wolf shuffled away from him, hiding their eyes under their paws to try and sleep.
You can spot him bounding towards you, shimmering in the morning light. "My dear friend," the wolf calls out, voice booming. You glance around yourself-- you're not sure if you've met this fellow before.
"I mean you, my dear friend!" he continues, bounding up to you and posing, head held aloft alongside his right front foot. "It has been so long since we have seen each other last! How have you been? How is your family? Are you as thrilled as I am about this Seasonal to come? Did you sleep well last night? Are you looking forward to the journey today? Have you seen any interesting plants around?"
After such a whirlwind of questions, the wolf finally stops speaking, blinking at you expectedly. You're not sure you remember all the questions he asked, but you do recall the last one...

Did you know that plants can be albino too? Albinism in plants is a rare mutation that prevents them from developing chloroplasts, and thus from engaging in photosynthesis. Many albino plants die young because of this, but in some species like Coast Redwood, they can survive, because they are getting food by drawing it from the root systems of healthy trees. They are basically vampires! Isn't it fascinating?
