Support on disclosure! Since there are people who are not quite as creative-minded or talented who love this site. I do not draw or do digital art, but I know if I found a unique way to use AI to make some sales, I'd be upset if I had no chance at all. But again, HUGE agree on the disclosure thing. It makes me upset to see someone trying to make profit off of something they didn't put their own work into. It feels like the equivalence of H&M selling crocheted items

I 100% agree on the selling aspect since I already don't feel right about people selling AI art. I think it's especially wrong to sell it as art without disclosing it as AI.

As an actual artist myself who works 40hrs a week with limited time for art and a entire world in my mind, I use AI to illustrate what I imagine and post it in my wolves bios relevant to my OC's or their world. I do, however, disclose it as AI as well as the generator I used on every page that I display it on, so I see no reason to ban it if it is only being displayed, but disclosed as AI.

clarifying my stance since it's more about AI in general now -- im cool with people using their own AI creations on their own wolves, profiles, threads etc. but selling AI art seems like it's asking for trouble + we've already seen people selling AI art without telling people in the OP that it's made by an AI. which is just dishonesty, and not what I want to see on LW.

It's in regards to a few threads that have been up over just the past two or three months alone but deleted, whether by the original posters or just admins. Someone else had a shop a couple of months ago, someone had a celebration forum for Halloween where they claimed they drew the AI posts they used in it, and I've seen users use it for assets for puppery/adopt forums without saying it's AI. Not disclosing it being AI at all is dishonesty imo, and a site that's supposed to be majorly about creator made CAs having users playing with AI is kind of a gross look. AI is nothing but theft, no matter what it's used for. The most recent AI shop was that last straw sort of ordeal but I've made this for actual artists' comfort after seeing this become more and more common.
