I know it is still a very young game with much to improve upon, but I really feel like now is as good a time as ever to have a roadmap in general.

I really liked having it in the first 6 months!

I'm not asking to know each and every little thing that might happen to go on it, but you know...just a general feel for what's to come and what's being worked on. I feel like it would put a lot of people's mind at ease. Especially since things have slowed a little bit.

Maybe not a roadmap, since schedules are hard to keep in game development, but some sort of long term dev plan would be nice to see. Pixel Cat's End has one that lays out point by point what the dev wants to do in the near and far future.

I definitely wouldn't complain about getting more consistent communication from the folks workin' on stuff; rotating posts about weekly events are nice to have, but don't really replace or fulfill the playerbase's need for assurance of forward momentum! Which we really don't have much of on any given week.

Insights into pinch points and common suggestions being taken into consideration, steps planned to address the playerbase's very apparent long term needs for QoL changes, occasional notes and updates on new features and things planned down the road-- that would be nice for folks to have, and give people the impression of work being done instead of the impression of a site just limping along mostly absent of management... :>

It's a necessary thing to at least occasionally assure the playerbase that the game is worth supporting, right? Right now, I get the impression "feedback" is a naughty word internally, and I really think that's a shame. Any interactive pet site is nothing without the support and collaboration between the devs and playerbase, but that requires... meaningful interaction and communication to begin with.

I didn't mind seeing future plans and their priorities, but the specific dates on the roadmap kept getting missed and it made me very anxious. The roadmap should omit specific dates unless the project is complete and pending launch at a specific time.

I think Reave and Desnik pretty much nail it with their posts.We need communication, I'd love some insights in what is being worked on, as long as they're not setting deadlines that way that might have a detrimental effect.
