Welcome!!
What everyone else said, lol.
I was also super overwhelmed when I started out here. There's literally so much to look at and the site kinda drops you in. It definitely becomes a lot less stressful when you get into it and realise what actually needs focusing on and what is fine to check in on only once in a while. The community here is more than willing to give as much help as you need, but nothing compares to rolling up your sleeves and learning for yourself LOL, but here's some starting points you can consider in addition to everything above
1. The flea market in shops is the player market. I DO NOT regret spending some of my starting moonstones in there to get a bunch of pebbles to get myself started buying recipes and other things. I still do this... a lot actually.
2. The premium currency, moonstones, are not actually that hard to get. You'll be getting a ton for starting achievements, and trickled in through achievements for a good long while. You also get shards of them from various activities that you can piece together into spendable moonstones. So don't be too afraid to spend some to get started. 1 moonstone is about 100k pebbles, which is A HUGE amount of pebbles for someone starting out.
3. Ignore the gauntlet when starting out. It requires a huge amount of stamina (energy used to do activities) and won't be too rewarding for a new player. The arena also takes ages and is very boring and not very rewarding so I wouldn't focus on that, either.
4. You can do all four areas'/packs' campaign missions. It won't actually change your pack but you'll get a lot of rewards and exp.
5. Don't neglect your fishing. You get one charge on it every 30ish minutes, up to 4 charges. The fish you get here can be cooked to quadruple the stamina they give when eaten, and are the most reliable food source you'll have.
ALL THAT BEING SAID, welcome again to the site and I hope you have fun here, feel free to ask if you need anything at all!
edit: 6. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR AUTOFEED SETTINGS IN YOUR DEN TO TAKE OUT THINGS YOU DON'T WANT TO AUTOMATICALLY EAT ON ACCIDENT. THIS IS STILL HAPPENING TO ME TO THIS DAY. You'll want to check on it regularly because it often will add in new things you find and you won't think to fix it until you've already autofed your shiny new ingredients to your gluttonous wolves.
edit jr: 7. You will learn the joys of giving your baby wolves their government assigned pet frogs. (Translation: The Basidio companion is very cheap and gives xp every hour when played with. You will want to eventually get a ton of them and toss them to babies to help level them before they're old enough to campaign. Levelling them also makes them worth more when releasing, just like FR. I don't remember if FR's familiars are like this, but companion levels are permanent and shared across all of the same species -- if you get one Basidio to level 10, and then buy a fresh new one from the mole, that new one will be level 10 too. Free powerful frogs for your babies forever.)
