i can never seem to win in arena, not even once after i get past like 5 levels, it just gets.. impossible 😭

i know about the synergies and using paws and merging the whatchamacallits, but the opponent always seems to beat me? is it just a skill issue 🥲

I had trouble at first but once I read a guide about it and how to use synergies, I started I'd say 50% of the time getting 1st-3rd place. Some of it is about luck, like if you can collect enough of one companion to get it 3star.

One tip from guide I read is not to worry about losing the initial rounds. I started buying the first companion and unslotting it. Then use after round, but the remaining 3 and use free refresh. Unslot all. Then after that round, but the 4 available, unslot them, and then press free refresh. You get extra paws if you're on a streak (winning OR losing). And the first rounds even if you lose, it's only like -1 HP, -2 HP, etc.

By losing and using free refresh and buying all available in the first few rounds -- you should see which companions you can start getting to 2stars and start planning your synergy strategy around that.

Also hover over their abilities because some have stuff like 10% reduced damage taken etc. I put those in first 2 slots because they'll take brunt of damage.

(And because I had been losing before reading the guide -- I actually started taking screenshots of teams that got me to 1st place lol. I don't anymore but I have like 10 "Winner" teams. I can send you the screenshots if you wanna see the set-ups that got me to 1st place)

F. Extra Tips

Paws management. For the first 3 Rounds, buy all the creatures you see in Shop until your waiting slots are full. Then, you can start selling the ones you don't want in your (future) party, and start saving up Paws. Buy the creatures you need for your team, otherwise wait. Take a few losses, save your paws up to 30 to get that +3 Interest. After that, you can start refreshing the shop mid battle and hope you find the creatures you need to strengthen your team.

Round 3, the Bear Trio, tend to be hard to defeat. If your team may not be able to win on Round 3 (which is a 2v3 situation), it's not a bad idea to purposely lose on the first 3 Rounds, as the health loss will not be a lot, and you get +2 Extra Paws on Round 3 for consecutive losses. If your team is underprepared, you can go further and lose Round 4 to keep getting more Paws to have an advantage much later in the game.
